Sustainability
We are a big part of public spaces, and therefore we feel obligated to contribute positively to the environment and to society. That is why we have clear environmental goals, and why we drive projects and partnerships to create wellbeing and a sense of safety in public spaces.
A big part of the public - a big responsibility for the environment
We have a clear climate goal: To be CO2-neutral in 2030, within Scope 1, and to reach Scope 2 and 3 within 2045. We will reach that goal by investing in initiatives that have a real influence and that will reduce our carbon emissions.
Our environmental footprint is the biggest when it comes to transportation and electricity.
That is why:
- We work to make sure that our power deals run on green energy.
- We have implemented an environmental travel and car policy.
At the same time, we are working to ensure that all of our partners’ power agreements are running on green energy and that our vendors, who post our campaigns, only use sustainable vehicles, when possible.

A big part of the public - A big responsibility for society
We drive projects and partnerships that contribute to local environments and strengthen social communities.
Our partnerships and donations are based on:
- Promoting wellbeing amongst exposed groups
- Strengthening safety in public spaces
- Promoting equality and the right to belong in the public space
Sammen i biografen
In 2023, Clear Channel was behind a collaboration with Nordisk Film, Egmont, Ventilen, and Lionsgate, in which we asked lonely young people in the capital area to go to the movies together. This gave the young people the opportunity to meet groups of other young people and find a community in which they could socialize both before and after the movie. The initiative was based on an analysis from Dansk Ungdoms Fællesråd from the summer of 2023. The analysis showed that 31% felt lonely, which is a big factor in young people’s health.
Natteravnene
Natteravnene works to create safe environments for children and young people in public spaces at night. Natteravnene are adult volunteers, who are present in their local areas, and it is the world’s biggest franchise-like volunteer concept. In the winter of 2022/2023, we made a partnership around a campaign that served as a fundraiser for the organization, and we are currently working with more initiatives to promote the important work of the organization.
Red Cross Denmark
Red Cross in Denmark helps with social needs and makes a difference for people, with a starting point in local needs, and the situations of individual human beings. Their activities in Denmark include social work in local communities, first aid for everyone, humanitarian work concerning people seeking asylum, health clinics, samaritans, and more. The latest campaign on our media placements was a new perspective on Red Cross’ second-hand shopping, where they make sure that Danish people’s used clothes are being used for providing emergency aid and social work.
Copenhagen Pride
Copenhagen Pride has been a partner of Clear Channel for many years, where we have focused on promoting their important messages about human rights and the freedom to feel safe, no matter who you are. During WorldPride and EuroGames, in 2021, we made a campaign with them that promoted statements from LGBT+ people from all over the world, about what inclusion was to them. This was also the theme of the festival, with the hashtag #YouAreIncluded.
With the campaign, we made Pride visible and were able to share important statements in all of our Danish cities.
